TurnPilot can do more than just turn the volume up and down. Depending on the configured Sonos zone, additional sound functions can be conveniently selected directly on the device and adjusted with a twist.

Clear Display Directly on the Device

The integrated round display shows you at a glance which room you are controlling, what volume is set, and which mode is active. The display is minimalist, easy to read, and deliberately focused on the most important information.

So that TurnPilot doesn't disturb you during movies in the evening, the display brightness is automatically reduced when not in use. As soon as you operate the device again, the display gently brightens.

The display is optimized for everyday use: room, percentage, and mode are immediately recognizable without you having to unlock your smartphone.

Up to 6 rooms can be freely furnished

The first time you start TurnPilot, you can easily set it up using your smartphone. TurnPilot opens its own setup Wi-Fi for this purpose. There, you enter your Wi-Fi details and create your Sonos rooms.

You can save up to 6 rooms with custom names, for example:
TV, Living Room, Kitchen, Dining Room, Office, Patio

You can find the IP addresses of your Sonos devices in the Sonos app under system information. After setup, TurnPilot automatically connects to your Wi-Fi and is ready to use within seconds of being turned on.

Change rooms and modes directly on the remote control

TurnPilot is designed for quick operation without an app. You can not only change the volume, but also switch between rooms and operating modes.

Room changes are made directly on the device. The desired mode, such as volume, bass, treble, or other sound options, can also be selected directly on the TurnPilot.

The user interface has been optimized so that menus are more easily accessible. Individual brightness and color settings can be made for each room. Unreachable Sonos rooms do not permanently block operation: If a room is switched off or unavailable on the network, TurnPilot remains operable and you can continue to switch to other rooms.

Automatic Dimming

To prevent the display from being a nuisance in everyday life, TurnPilot automatically reduces the display brightness after a short period. If the device is moved or operated again, the display gently brightens back up.

This is particularly pleasant in the living room, bedroom, or during a movie night: the display remains available but doesn't glare unnecessarily.

Compatibility

TurnPilot is designed for Sonos systems on the local Wi-Fi network. The prerequisite is that the respective speaker or Sonos zone is accessible on the network and displayed as a room in the Sonos app.

Important: Subwoofers such as Sonos Sub, Sub Mini, or Sub 4 are usually not controlled as standalone rooms, but as part of a Sonos zone. Headphones like Sonos Ace are also not classic Sonos room speakers.

Control takes place locally within the home network. A cloud connection is not required for the basic functionality.
